This week was approved by the Portuguese Parliament, during the voting on the speciality of the 2011 Budget, with the favour votes from the Government party and the abstention of the principal opposition party, an exception for all the public companies of the salary cuts decreed for all public servers.
That’s a complete abuse and disrespects from this both parties to the country because; on a moment when the common citizen is being obligated to pay for all this years of corruption by the political class, this parties are protecting the interests of all party members posted on that companies, protecting their scandalous wages above the national interests. Wages earnings based not on their competence but on their party influence.
This approved is even more scandalous when the "genius" of the finance minister Teixeira dos Santos came on national TV, a few days ago, to appeal to the privet companies not make any increases on their employees wages. He does not make the cut on the employees under his authority but want to give orders to the privet employees.
But the prove that the Teixeira dos Santos is nothing more than an "genius" is that he is trying to destroy completely the national economy. If the public servers are going to lose consumption capacity through the salary cuts, if all citizens gone a lose consumption capacity through tax rise, instead of appeal to the rises of privet wages to increase the consumption capacity of the privet employees so the companies and the economy do not declare bankruptcy, this "genius" are appealing to the opposite.
And this is the men we have managing our country.
